Justin Humphreys

Justin is an internationally recognised safeguarding and leadership specialist whose three decades of experience have strengthened safer cultures across faith communities, charities, and humanitarian organisations worldwide.
As a specialist consultant, coach, chair and collaborator, he advises and supports boards, executives and their teams to align culture, strategy, practice and people towards creating safer, healthier environments.
From 2016 to 2026, Justin served as CEO for the UK’s leading independent Christian safeguarding charity, supporting over 13,000 organisations globally. In 2018, alongside Sarah Champion MP, he founded the All Party Parliamentary Group on Safeguarding in Faith Communities and is currently Chair of the Global Child Protection Alliance. He is also Honorary Lecturer at the University of Chester, Visiting Fellow at the University of Kent, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership.
He is author of a number of books (one with Simon Barrington), chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles based upon his work, which is values-led and focused at the intersection of leadership, safeguarding, and faith.
