David Watson

With extensive executive leadership experience, including serving as a CEO and contributing to regional and national boards, David is passionate about helping people, teams and organisations create environments where everyone can thrive.

Throughout his career in education and the wider public sector, David has led organisational improvement, shaped strategy and supported leaders to build strong cultures rooted in trust, collaboration and shared purpose. Combining strategic leadership with curiosity and compassion, he helps organisations turn vision into meaningful action and create places where people can do their best work.

Passionate about developing people, David believes great leadership starts with investing in others. Whether coaching, mentoring or facilitating leadership development, he enjoys helping individuals and teams recognise what's possible, navigate challenges and build the confidence to lead with purpose.

Guided by his personal values of work hard, be kind, have courage, David is committed to creating opportunities for others. He believes that when people are supported to grow, organisations and communities grow stronger too. 

David was awarded an OBE for services to education in 2019 and received a Lifetime Leadership Award in 2025 in recognition of his contribution to educational leadership.
